I am an Interdisciplinary Artist based in London and Cyprus.
Predominantly yellow, today I am sun, I live better in or near large bodies of water.
I could never quite place where I felt like home more than water, the abstraction of home thus became a method of organising and exploring narratives in my work.
My work is process led, I use choreographic and spatial processes to interweave experimental film , voice, poetry, performance and installation creating fiction out of fragments to make playful discoveries through live and mediated spaces. Improvisations and serendipitous experiments are collated into an archive; a trace of process as well as a product in its own right. Content is used to progress research and recycled as memory in eventual works. Forms of hyper collage and editing are gateways between the Macrocosm and Microcosm sieving autobiographical narrative, historical and ecological fact to create new myth.
Collaborating with practitioners across a variety of disciplines gives me the opportunity to exchange methodologies and challenge my own. I explore the embodiment of a place between reality and fiction, a place which is not fiction, they are all lives I’ve lived and am living.
